Long Point Lighthouse is located in Crow Head, Twillingate. Overlooking the north Atlantic many fishermen have been guided home by this Lighthouse. Its beaming light can be seen from miles away. This is one of the few operational lighthouses in Newfoundland and Labrador. Even during a foggy day its fog horn bellows out over the ocean and town. Fisherman for decades have followed the sound to bring them home safely. Today thousands of tourist come to see the Lighthouse when visiting the Twillingate area. There is a gift shop located in the old Lighthouse Keepers house.

The Auk Island Winery is located in beautiful Twillingate and is only a 2 minute walk across the street from Whitsha Inn B&B. This winery makes unique wines from local berries & fruits grown right here in Newfoundland.. Some of the specialty wines are made using Iceberg water. The berries are hand picked by the locals and often hand delivered to the winery. You can even do a wine tasting tour for a minimum fee. They also have a gift shop and restaurant on site.
