Description

Over forty years ago the late Lorna Stuckless started the Twillingate Fish, Fun and Folk Festival as a means to boost tourism in the area. It was a festival that shone a spotlight on rural living, highlighting crafts and different aspects of living in in outport Newfoundland. It was a time to have fun and revel in community spirit.

Today Volunteers make up the Fish, Fun and Folk Festival committee under the co-ordinator Sharon Anstey.. Together they organize the event that is now one of the longest running festivals of its kind in the province.

It continues to draw in Tourist and remains a venue where local artist can display their crafts and organizations can fund raise and give back to the community, This event which Lorna envisioned all those years ago continues to be a mainstay in Twillingate Tourism.
